Difinition
Bomb Threat: A bomb threat exists when any communication is received that a bomb or other explosive device has been placed in the hospital.

To ensure a safe and orderly response if a bomb threat is recived by any staff member of the Mediclinic City hospital
Critical Actions
If you receive a bomb threat via telephone:
Use the Bomb Threat Information Checklist.
Use the Bomb Threat Information Checklist.
Notify the Duty Manager on duty immediately on completion of the call.

Conduct a quick inspection of your area for any unattended luggage or suspicious items/packages and report findings to duty manager.
If a suspicious package is found do not touch or move it then Evacute to the next fire compartment using evacuation cards and policy.

Be prepared to evacuate your area according to the evacuation Cards and Policy if an evacuation is announced by the Duty Manager.
